FAQ: Are Contingent Workers Eligible to Receive Insurance?

PrideOne offers ACA compliant medical insurance, as well as dental, vision, and short-term disability insurance to employees working 30 or more hours per week. New employees become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 59 days of employment.

Changes to your benefit elections can only be made when you experience an IRS “Qualifying Life Event” or during PrideOne’s annual open enrollment period. Our open enrollment period takes place during the end of each year. IRS qualifying life events include, but are not limited to: change in marital status, change in employment status (part time to full time hours), change in dependent eligibility (i.e. Loss in coverage or age limit), and change in number of dependents.
